The court needs a judge who embraces knowledge, wisdom, skill, experience, and empathy. Adela Kowalski-Garza is the right choice for the 484th Judicial Court and the right choice for San Benito.

ADELA KOWALSKI-GARZA
Cameron County’s 484th Judicial District Court Candidate
Licensed Legal Practitioner for Over 33 Years
Adela’s passion for justice began in 1989 during her time serving as a state prosecutor at the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office. From there, she honed her skills at the federal level, serving as Assistant United States Attorney from 1995 to 2002.
She then served in her private practice with her husband, Noe Garza Jr., between 2002 and 2013. As an attorney, Adela represented and defended juveniles in both civil and criminal court. Since 2013, she has worked as first chair prosecutor under Luis V. Saenz.
No matter where Adela has been in her career, one thing remained consistent: troubled youths deserve a chance. If given the opportunity to be a juvenile judge for the 484th Judicial District Court, Adela vows to save as many of our children and troubled youth as possible, without sacrificing the safety of our community.

Adela also understands the value of a quality education. Beyond her work serving the community as a law practitioner, she has also mentored aspiring legal professionals during her time as a professor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Since 2003, she has taught classes on Criminal Procedure for Law Enforcement, Criminal Law and Criminal Evidence, and Criminal Evidence and Proof.
With her well-rounded legal experience and unending dedication to teaching tomorrow’s legal professionals, it’s clear to see that Adela has our youth’s best interests at heart.
